ちりめん素材の生地は洗濯するとものすごく縮みます。
なので、元々の着物の生地幅が38㎝程度あるのに対し、
洗った後の生地は30㎝程度まで縮んでしまい、リメイクし辛いのが難点です。

しかし、どうしてもこれは柄優先で作りたかった生地。
緑が濃く、初夏の緑を思わせ、柄の更紗文様もポップで彩り豊かな一枚です。
どなたが購入してくださるのか・・・？楽しみです。

The crepe fabric shrinks dramatically when washed.
Therefore, the original kimono fabric is about 38cm wide,
The fabric shrinks to about 30cm after washing, making it difficult to remake.

However, this is a fabric I really wanted to make with the pattern in mind.
The greenery is dark, reminiscent of early summer greenery, and the patterned sarasa pattern is also pop and colorful.
